Olga Volianska

Award-winning photographer Olga Volianska, born and based in Ukraine, has two art degrees: fashion design and architectural environmental design. In 2017, she discovered her passion for photography, initially focusing on travel photography. She participated in various workshops and photo trips around the world, learning from renowned masters of photography, including a portfolio review with Gueorgui Pinkhassov. In 2020, during the global pandemic, Olga’s perspective on photography evolved and it became an important tool for her artistic expression. After completing Dimitri Bogachuk’s programs at the Kyiv School of Photography, she delved into fine art photography, presenting her work to the audience. The challenges of the pandemic and continued Russian aggression forced Olga to shift her focus to capturing moments at home and working with personal archives. Despite the difficult circumstances, she continues to create art that reflects resilience, hope and beauty, in the face of war and uncertainty. Since 2020, Olga has won gold and silver awards at world competitions such as The Prix de la Photographie, International Photography Awards, Budapest International Foto Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, ND Awards. Her work has been exhibited: The Cardinal Gallery, Toronto – Solo Exhibition; “House of Lucie” in Budapest – group exhibition; “Espace Beaurepaire”, France Paris Exhibition – group exhibition; “New Generation” NuArt Gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine – group exhibition. International Photo Fair – PHOTO KYIV 2020 Her project on the aftermath of the Kakhovskaya Dam tragedy, “Kakhovskaya Dam 6/06/2023”, won a prize at the International Photography Awards with an invitation to New York City for the IPA 2023 Awards Ceremony and Celebration and the Lucie Awards at Carnegie Hall. To date, his work is in private collections in Ukraine, Europe and Canada and is currently represented by Cardinal Gallery, Toronto. Currently based in Odesa, Ukraine, Olga Volianska’s work is a testament to her ability to find light and beauty even in challenging times. Her photography serves as a shining beacon, offering viewers a glimpse of hope and positivity in the midst of adversity.
